Jubilee 20 years of the European Union the Arts

In 1999, a group of artists, journalists and scientists founded a voluntary international association called the European Union of the Arts at the World Information Distributed University in Brussels. The first president of the association was elected academic Prof. PhDr. MUDr. Miroslav Klivar, CSc., PhD, Grand PhD, cavalier of SEC - painter, designer, teacher, writer, photographer, filmmaker and scientist with international kompetence.


The founders of the association in addition to prof. Klivar also included: writer and journalist Marat Kalandarov from Latvia, photographer and film actor Gérard Robert Gratadour from France, diplomat and poet Djoko Stojičič from Serbia and Czech artist Karel Cornelius Kučera. The successor of the founder and the second president of the EUU was elected PhDr. Petr Vašíček from the Czech Republic in 2010. The ceremonial congress of EUU members on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the founding of the association will take place in October this year as part of the celebrations of the 101st anniversary of the establishment of independent Czechoslovakia in the Žofín Palace on Slavic Island in Prague.
